Br. Abhishek Chaitanyaji-ji attended the “normal” Indian system of schooling and college. However, soon after graduating from Bombay University his intense love for the spiritual, which was always just below the surface, steered him to join the Vedanta course at the Chinmaya Mission. From 1996-1998, after successfully completing the rigorous Vedanta course, he was posted as the Acharya at the Chinmaya Mission of Pune. There he directed many spiritual classes and camps for people of all ages, from children to adults. His love of spirituality spread beyond Pune through discourses and Jnana Yajnas held in nearby towns.
Upholding the Scriptural teachings to serve humanity in all ways, Swamiji was very active in the Chinmaya Mission Relief Group that assisted the cyclone hit areas of Orissa and he played an engaging role in helping the flood victims of the state. He then transferred as the Acharya to the Chinmaya Inteational Residential School in Coimbatore. There he represented the Mission as the school's ex officio of management and took a close interest in implementing the specially developed educational program in the school. He also acted as a counsellor to students, parents and staff and had numerous opportunities to conduct spiritual classes for teachers, as well as students from all grades levels.
Currently, Swamiji teaches yoga philosophy, Gita and Meditation at Shiva Yoga Peeth. He also guides the Yoga Teacher Training courses there. He is one of the most spiritual masters in Rishikesh. Swamiji also spends time spreading Yogic knowledge to European and South East Asian countries in his travels there.
Yogi Sudhir was bo in the Southe state of India, called Orissa. He left his home after completing his graduation, in search of God and deeper spirituality and thus traveled all over India. In his early childhood, he met with a lot of great saints and leat about yoga from them. Later he worked as a priest in Neelkanth Mahadav Temple (Rishikesh) for three years and continued his sadhana.
After servicing the temple and leaing from there, he went to Varanasi where he lived for five years and studied the paths of yoga more deeply and besides also did a Yoga Diploma course from Varanasi Hindu University. He then decided to go to the jungles for deeper Sadhana, after his Sadhana he decided to enroll as a student and do a Yoga Master course from Kaivalyadham, Lonavala, Puna; a world famous institute pioneer in teaching yoga. He worked as a yoga teacher at Kaivalyadham institute for some time and since then has been teaching all over India.
Yogi Sudhir Anand keeps attending all the Indian yoga programs to give lectures. He teaches Hatha yoga, Shivananda yoga, Ashtanga yoga, Kundalini yoga, Mantra yoga, etc. He has also extensively studied the Vedas, Vedanta, the Upanishads and the Gita.
Now he has his yoga centres in Dharamshala and Rishikesh; and also travels in India extensively to spread the knowledge of Yoga and help people. His aim is to spread yoga all over the world. Yogi Sudhir also teaches yoga in Europe and Israel.
Swami Biswamvhar was bo in Orrisa, located in Easte India. He serves as the elected president of Shiva Yoga Peeth. He left home when he was young to search for god. He has been practicing Hatha and Ashtanga yoga since he was a child and has leaed from many gurus. He has studied Gita, Ramayan, Bhagabad Gita, Upnisad, Vedas, Vedantas and Patanjali yoga sutras. His aim is to spread the knowledge of yoga all over the world.
Lolita Webelman took her first yoga class in India in 1999. She continued her practice in her native country Mexico and went on to train at The Iyengar Yoga Center in Mexico city.
Lolita considers herself an eteal yoga apprentice. She has taken multiple workshops, yoga and meditation retreats in Mexico and the United States. She has taught Hatha, Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga in many different establishments as well as locations. She has recently been teaching in India at Shiva Yoga Peeth. Her classes are playful and dynamic with a focus on correct alignment.
Dr. Latika Verma was bo on February 13, 1978 in Jalandhar, India and graduated from Dayanand Ayurvedic college in 2003 from her studies in Ayurvedic medicine and surgery. She has a vast experience in Ayurvedic medicine and now teaches Anatomy and Physiology of the Human Body at Shiva Yoga Peeth. As Yogic practices are slightly based on Ayurveda, she is an ideal person for teaching the importance of Anatomy in Yoga.
